Responsibilities:
• Design, deploy, administer, and provide operational support for Network Management System (NMS) tools
• Evaluate new monitoring solutions and integrate tools with asset databases and other corporate systems
• Automate tool administration tasks to improve efficiency
• Collaborate with network operations and engineering teams to define and implement monitoring standards
• Participate in network management design and peer review processes
• Conduct tooling audits to assess operational coverage and develop remediation plans as needed
• Coordinate with external vendors for tooling updates and upgrades
• Document tool architecture and operational procedures

Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of experience designing, customizing, and deploying network management tools to support monitoring and data acquisition for large-scale, global network device deployments (routers, switches, voice devices) in mission-critical environments.
• Preferred experience with Broadcom DX Spectrum and IBM SevOne products.
• In-depth understanding of network management protocols and concepts, including SNMP v1/2c/3, SNMP MIBs, and enterprise infrastructure services such as Syslog, NTP, DNS, AAA, LDAP, CDP, and LLDP.
• Experience with networking products for orchestration, alerting, incident, problem, capacity, performance, WiFi, security, and flow management.
• Skilled in developing Python scripts for collecting and processing network-related data using REST APIs, network protocols, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Administration and support of enterprise-level RedHat Linux servers, including deployment and maintenance of system-related monitoring applications.
• Experience developing NMS tool integrations and automations, including tool administration and creation of runbooks.
• Proficient in network packet capture analysis and flow technologies, including NetFlow and sFlow.
• Experience configuring Cisco and Arista network devices, with working knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), network security protocols (802.1x), and WiFi protocols.
• Skilled in certifying and validating health and performance data collection from network devices, including tool customization for vendor-specific SNMP traps, events, and KPIs.
• Power user of analytical tools such as Splunk, ELK Stack, and Grafana.
• Working knowledge of databases and data extraction methods.
