Responsibilities:
• Lead the management, deployment, and optimization of storage solutions (SAN & NAS) and backup systems.
Oversee capacity planning, performance optimization, and lifecycle management of storage infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with data retention policies, regulatory requirements, and SLA commitments.
• Develop and maintain robust backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Lead incident response and troubleshooting for storage and backup-related issues.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of storage architectures, backup procedures, and recovery workflows.
• Mentor and guide L2 Support Analysts, promoting knowledge sharing and skills development.
• Collaborate with application, server, and network teams to ensure seamless data availability and integrity.
• Conduct regular reviews of storage utilization, backup success rates, and recovery capabilities.
• Drive storage and backup optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in governance, reporting, and service review meetings.
• Support audit and compliance activities, including timely remediation of findings.
• Stay current with emerging storage, backup, and data management technologies.
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with third-party support providers.
• Oversee the secure decommissioning and disposal of end-of-life storage hardware.
• Ensure data integrity, availability, and resilience across all storage and backup systems.

Requirements:
• Storage Architecture & Management: Advanced knowledge of SAN/NAS solutions (HPE, EMC, NetApp, VMware vSAN, Cisco HyperFlex Distributed Filesystem) and fabric management (Cisco, Brocade).
• Provisioning & Configuration: Skilled in storage provisioning, multipath configuration, and zoning/masking.
• Capacity & Lifecycle Management: Expertise in storage capacity planning, lifecycle management, and cost optimization.
• Data Protection & Recovery: Strong experience with replication, snapshot policies, backup management (Rubrik), app-consistent backups, DR simulations, and recovery testing.
• Data Migration & Decommissioning: Experience performing data migrations and decommissioning with integrity validation.
• Security & Access Control: Knowledge of implementing storage and backup security, permissions, and access controls.
• Collaboration & Planning: Ability to work with server, application, and database teams for throughput, restore planning, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Mentorship & Team Development: Proven capability to mentor L2 analysts in storage and backup operations and best practices.
