Responsibilities:
Analyse and evaluate the cost structure of purchased components, including material, manufacturing and overhead costs
Ensure cost transparency, identify key cost drivers and develop cost analysis expertise.
Identify cost reduction opportunities in electronic and electromechanical products.
Review supplier quotations and provide cost-based support to Purchasing during price negotiations.
Organize and participate in cost optimization workshops together with Category Purchasing at supplier locations.
Calculate target prices for new products during the development phase.
Evaluate cost-saving opportunities through product design, specification or manufacturing process improvements.
Prepare benchmark calculations for components and assemblies.
Requirements:
University Engineering degree or relevant technical qualification with professional experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the electronics industry
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably with practical production /automotive experience
Basic understanding of electronics, market trends and key industry players
Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Strong communication and negotiation skills in English.
Willingness to travel
Advantage:
Knowledge of cost calculation methodologies and relevant software tools.
Experience in the automotive industry.
