Responsibilities:
• Oversee AI platforms across development, testing, and production environments
• Manage the full AI lifecycle, including deployment, monitoring, and retirement
• Apply MLOps best practices for scalable and reliable AI operations
• Ensure AI applications comply with organizational policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for AI/ML systems
• Contribute to threat modeling and incident response planning for AI-related risks
• Establish and maintain data lineage tracking for AI models
• Enforce secure data governance practices in collaboration with data scientists and engineers
• Ensure transparency, integrity, and compliance of data used in AI systems
• Design and implement automated DSPM workflows using Microsoft Purview
• Develop and maintain security automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Logic Apps)
• Integrate AI, data, and security systems effectively
• Monitor and optimize Azure security tools (Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Key Vault)
• Ensure proper identity and access management for AI workloads
• Continuously improve the organization’s cloud security posture
• Stay current with emerging AI security trends, frameworks, and regulations
• Provide strategic advice to leadership on AI security initiatives
• Support staff in understanding AI systems, risks, and best practices
Requirements
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Data Science, or a related field
• Preferred certifications such as Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, or similar
• 7+ years of experience in AI/ML development and deployment
• 5+ years of experience in cloud security and data governance roles
• Proven experience implementing AI security frameworks and compliance standards
• Strong expertise in AI lifecycle management and MLOps
• Experience with generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and prompt engineering
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Purview (preferred)
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Azure
• Strong knowledge of secure coding practices and vulnerability management
• Experience with automation and orchestration tools for security workflows
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Effective collaboration across cross-functional teams
• Continuous learning mindset in rapidly evolving cloud and AI domains
• High attention to detail in code quality, data validation, and documentation
• Understanding of humanitarian or nonprofit environments (preferred)
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies (preferred)
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Additional language skills (French, Spanish, or Arabic) are an advantage
