Our client is a global, family-owned German company that develops market-leading solutions for the solar and automotive industries. They are looking for a Corporate Learning Manager to their brand-new SSC in the heart of Budapest.

Main tasks, roles and responsibilities

• Lead corporate learning team both functionally and disciplinary (ramp up to 8 team members planned by end of 2024)
• Develop and implement corporate learning strategy (in collaboration with Director L&D and Corporate Development Team Lead)
• Design and manage global learning portfolio
• Manage further roll-out and ongoing operation of learning management system (LMS), LMS: Cornerstone on demand
• Establish, enable and support global learning community within the organization
• Design and steer global learning initiatives
• Continuously improve training processes from needs assessment to learning transfer assurance
• Select and manage external learning providers
• Provide expert advice and support to local HR business partners and learning responsibles
• Plan and manage corporate learning budget
• Design processes, manage global deployment, delivery and ensure continuous improvement and process compliance for processes he/she is accountable for
• Continuous monitoring of process performance and alignment with (local) Process Experts on improvements
• Manage ongoing operations of the team. Plan and monitor the capacity and workload of the team

Special Tasks/ Key challenges:

• Build and lead new Corporate Learning team
• Global LMS roll-out (Cornerstone on demand)
• Manage transition to digital/blended learning
• Create appealing learner experience
• Initial process design and deployment, followed by process delivery and CI


• Fluent in English
• Native in Hungarian
• German language skills (Advantage)
• College or University degree – preferably in the field of adult learning or learning psychology
• Minimum 7+ years of working experience
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in adult learning in an international environment
• Minimum of 3+ years of leadership experience in international environment, preferably in larger industrial companies, leading a minimum of 5 team members
• Working in international environment
• Distinct expertise in didactics and training methodology
• Experience in implementing and running learning management systems (preferably Cornerstone on demand)
• Project management skills (certifications are a plus)
• Distinct affinity for IT
• Solid MS office skills
• Readiness to travel (less than 10%)
• Full remote, occasionally office presence
